The Engine Room Café is now back! We would love to invite you to our brand new, refurbished cafe area with lovely vegetarian food and fresh, aromatic coffee!
New Opening Hours for 2025: 10am - 3.30pm Monday to Friday from Monday 13th January.
Located on Bridgwater High Street we specialise in vegetarian and vegan food made on the premises.
Our menu (see below) changes regularly throughout the year with freshly-made food, locally sourced cakes and organic Fairtrade tea or coffee.
With an outdoor area you can sit back and enjoy your food and drink during the warm sunny days.
We offer fast wifi to our customers and we have copy / print / scan facilities available on site. You can now access one of two laptops should you need to go online.

Our current menu includes:
Jacket Potato (choose two fillings)
cheese/ vegan cheese, beans, onion, mushrooms
Soup of the week
(plant-based, made with seasonal vegetables sourced locally)
Please note: due to the way we produce our meals, some of them contain traces of celery
Grilled Panini: cheese / vegan cheese, avocado & cheese, avocado & tomato, cheese & mushrooms
Sandwich: cheese/ vegan cheese, egg & mayo, or sausage. ADD salad (lettuce, tomato, cucumber, onion, olives, pickles)
Toastie: cheese/ vegan cheese, cheese & tomato, cheese & avocado & tomato, sausage
Meal Deal
Choice of freshly made sandwich/ toastie, crisps and a regular hot or cold drink ONLY £6.50
Selection of cakes
(change weekly - plant-based and no gluten containing ingredients - made cakes available)

Bridgwater Repair Cafe
Welcome to the Repair Cafe, Bridgwater!
Based at The Engine Room, the Repair Cafe is a space for you to have a coffee and bring along anything you've been meaning to get fixed! We're a group of lovely volunteers and we're always looking for more recruits!
Check our Events to see when the next Repair Cafe will be held, and bring along your broken kettles, toasters, lamps, jewellery, shirts or a pairs of jeans, and we'll see what we can do - even if we can't fix it, we're usually able to figure out what's wrong!
