Inspired by C S John Sparkes and his use of film to document life in the village of Burtle, the local landscape and farming, Somerset Film presents an evening of heritage film. Come and discover more about the project that will take place throughout 2024, uncover a local connection with the pioneers of filmmaking and view some of the films that have been digitised from the C S John Sparkes archive so far. 

The screening is free thanks to support from the National Lottery Heritage Fund. To thank all the players we will providing free cake at the interval - just bring your lottery ticket or scratch card to claim a delicious slice!
