Our monthly Creative Network is a great event to network with other artists and share ideas. You will be able to join us in person and online via Facebook Live from 5pm.

We don't have one but two guest speakers, artists Leona Jones and Dr. Caroline Wilkins, they will present plans for a future collaborative audio / visual installation, with audio, images, and video excerpts from their work.

With W/Ringing Ears

During global reactions to Pandemic the ‘rush on-line’ has substituted so much previously gained from live gatherings and individual life situations. The pressure has been on to virtually listen to and watch each other even more than previously, raising issues of society as surveillance/corporate/divided/connected. Is contemporary society faced with the very problematic task of dealing with the torrent of (mis-)information that washes over us constantly? How can an individual ‘wring out’ their ears in order to avoid being rendered inert by overload?

Join us in-person to take part in a Mindful Sound Collages activity with artist Daniel Birch.

Daniel sources field recordings, over the past couple of years this has had a really positive impact on his health and wellbeing. It encourages him to go out walking in nature and helps him connect with the environment and his local neighbourhood. He hopes this activity could inspire others to source and create their own 'Sound Collages' and benefit their own wellbeing.

If you have your own audio recordings of nature please bring them along on your phone, but your phone will need a headphone output.
