Somerset Film and Fabian’s Films present: Kinokotch, A Street Cinema Project for Wells
‘Kino’ in Europe means cinema. ‘Kotch’ is a Jamaican slang expression for hanging or chilling at a location for a temporary amount of time.
Join award-winning filmmaker and academic Dr. John Sealey and explore Wells through a camera lens. The Kinokotch project takes place between September ’22 and April ‘23 and features outdoor film screenings, the commissioning of two new short films and begins with a series of free* community filmmaking workshops.
The third of these workshops is for over 60s and takes place on Tuesday 6th September 10am - 4pm at the Elim Connect Centre.
*Participation is free for those who live and work in Wells and the immediate surrounding Mendip areas, thanks to support from Mendip District Council Communities Fund and Arts Council England.
