Weekdays; Monday - Friday, 10am - 4pm.
Late evening openings; Wednesday 28th September 10am - 8pm & Wednesday 5th October, 10am -7pm.

We are excited to be part of Somerset Art Weeks Festival 2022 with Somerset Art Works, we will have an exhibition on display by our Ignite Somerset Artist in Residence. Somerset Art Weeks Festival returns in 2022 with the theme of ‘SANCTUARY’.

Visual artist Annie will be using the residency to develop her animation skills and will create a new environmental themed animation about climate change, ‘The Man Who Mends Things’. It will be exhibited along with the process of making the animation during Somerset Art Weeks Festival 2022 at The Engine Room.

“I have personal experience of the impact of climate change on the natural environment here in Somerset. I have long wanted to make work on this theme but never been able to find the right medium. I believe that animation will be very powerful in this context as it is incredibly accessible and appeals across the age ranges.” - Annie
