Somerset Film supported by Seed Sedgemoor presents, Somerset on Film.

An evening of archive film capturing our rural county on screen. From home movies to news reel items, explore our shared history on screen. The programme also includes a special live performance by sound artist Matt Davis accompanying the work of local history enthusiast and amateur filmmaker C S John Sparkes.

We are delighted to announce, local resident Michael Hill has provided local archive of Cannington, which will feature as part of the archive film evening.

You can also look forward to watching the 1934 short film 'Village Life in Somerset' by Mathew Nathan, a prize-winning and amateur filmmaker, a 1970 short film about Somerset cider making, along with other subjects such as; young farmers, peat digging, eels and local industry.

Courtesy Park & Ride shuttle: 07:00 – 11:00 and 15:00 – 20:00

Parking

Please use the Park and Ride situated at Rodway Playing Fields, Cannington TA5 2PJ. (See map below). There are bicycle racks and a motorcycle bay also available at Cannington Court.

*For those guests parking on site, please note there is a height limit of 1.93M within our parking bays.
** The Park & Ride Car Park is locked at 22:00 each evening and opened again the next day at 07:00. It is closed at weekends.

*To respect our neighbours in the local community, we ask that our guests do not park their cars on the residential roads around Cannington Court at any time.
