Announcing Our Artist in Resident 2024
We are thrilled to introduce Elizabeth Woodger, an interdisciplinary photographic artist based in Minehead, as our new Artist in Residence!
Elizabeth began her career as a geologist, researching past greenhouse climates to understand future climate change. Over the past fifteen years, she has transitioned into a visual artist, using her background to explore how landscapes are shaped by and respond to human influence. Her work focuses on raising awareness about global environmental issues such as climate change and biodiversity loss through the natural elements of her local surroundings.
During her residency, Elizabeth will be working on an innovative project centered around Exmoor’s rivers. She will create a new digital artwork examining freshwater ecosystems, highlighting the power of water in shaping life and land.
A huge thank you to everyone who applied!
We were blown away by the incredible talent and creativity in the applications we received. Your passion for art, dedication to your craft, and commitment to environmental awareness truly inspired us.
Stay tuned for updates on Elizabeth's journey. We can’t wait to start exploring the creative possibilities of her proposal.
