Somerset Film and Fabian’s Films present: Kinokotch, A Street Cinema Project for Wells
‘Kino’ in Europe means cinema. ‘Kotch’ is a Jamaican slang expression for hanging or chilling at a location for a temporary amount of time.
Join award-winning filmmaker and academic Dr. John Sealey and explore Wells through a camera lens. The Kinokotch project takes place between September ’22 and April ‘23 and features outdoor film screenings, the commissioning of two new short films and begins with a series of free* community filmmaking workshops.
The first of these workshops is for ages 12 - 18 and takes place on Thursday 1st September 10am - 4pm at the Connect Centre.
*Participation is free for those who live and work in Wells and the immediate surrounding Mendip areas, thanks to support from Mendip District Council Communities Fund and Arts Council England:
*Minimum age for participants is 12.
*Signed carer/parental permission is required for all under 18s to attend.
