Somerset Film and Fabian’s Films present Kinokotch, a Street Cinema Project for Wells

‘Kino’ in Europe means cinema. ‘Kotch’ is a Jamaican slang expression for hanging or chilling at a location for a temporary amount of time.

Join award-winning filmmaker and academic Dr. John Sealey and explore Wells through a camera lens. The Kinokotch project takes place between September ’22 and April ‘23 and features outdoor film screenings, the commissioning of two new short films and begins with a series of free* community filmmaking workshops.

The second of these workshops is for all ages (over 12) and takes place on Saturday 3rd September 10am - 4pm at the Wells and Mendip Museum.

*Participation is free for those who live and work in Wells and the immediate surrounding Mendip areas, thanks to support from Mendip District Council Communities Fund and Arts Council England.

Minimum age for participants is 12.

Signed carer/parental permission is required for all under 18s to attend.
