This year for our Ignite Somerset Artist in Residency we are interested in hearing from an artist who would like to participate in Somerset Art Works ‘Open Studios’ but cannot do so. This may be for physical reasons e.g. their studio is physically inaccessible for the public, social factors such as caring responsibilities or for financial reasons.
Robert Richards Award: Sound Art Commission Deadline

Somerset Film, supported by Arts Council England, is inviting young artists aged under 20 and living in Somerset to submit ideas for a new piece of sound art.
The successful applicant will receive £300, a further £200 for materials and an exhibition at The Engine Room.

Are you aged under 25 and live in Somerset?
We are commissioning a young filmmaker to produce an original short film!
Pitch your idea to be made into a short film, this must be a narrative fiction piece i.e. comedy or drama (not documentary). By ‘short’ we mean a maximum of five minutes*. It is free to submit your ideas and you can submit more than one.

Are you a Somerset based Artist? Our Artist In Residence 2024 Commission is now officially open!
How would you merge your digital ideas with your existing practice? This opportunity is for artists working in any medium, the commission is to create a piece of digital art on the theme of the natural environment, climate action and/or climate justice.
